Thanks to Amazon and Etsy many consumers now expect free shipping when making online purchases. This is a tough one for small businesses and craftspeople like myself. Shipping prices and shipping supplies have gone up, just like everything else the past few years, and it needs to be paid at one end of the transaction.

There has been a bit of a change in the past couple of years with e-commerce since Amazon has taken over the online shopping market. Free shipping is something that many shoppers are getting used to… but do we ever question this? Being the ever so practical person that I am, I have always questioned it. I always thought, well obviously they are raising the price in order to give free shipping.
